A man has painstakingly transferred Christopher Nolan's Tenet onto a GameBoy Advance cartridge 'out of spite'.

And really, is there ever better a reason to do anything than spite? I think not.

YouTuber Bob Wulff, better known as Wulff Den, decided he wanted to see the flick on the smallest screen he could find in response to Nolan previously urging people to go to see his movies on the big screen.

In case you missed it, speaking as Tenet was released, Nolan said: "This is a film in image and sound really needs to be enjoyed on theatre in a big screen."

And this comment was enough to prompt the YouTuber to set about finding a way to get it shrunk down.

In the clip, Wulff explains: "So I got this idea when the whole meme was going around about how much Christopher Nolan really wanted you to go to the theatre to see this movie... you know... in the middle of a global pandemic."

In total, the movie took up five cartridges and as '30 minutes is the maximum time you can have for a Game Boy Advance Video and still have it in somewhat of a watchable state'.

He even put in that little bit of extra effort to create custom-made labels for the cartridges.

The YouTuber adds: "This is quite possibly the worst way to view Tenet and still be able to, like, kind be able to see what is going on."

He then goes on to explain how he did it, should you fancy being as petty as he is.

Despite Wulff's impressive display of petty spite, Nolan has previously said he doesn't really care what screen you view his films on.

According to The Nolan Variations by Tom Shone; Nolan once asked himself: "'Well, do you have a problem with people seeing Dunkirk on my phone or whatever?'"

Before he answered: "No, I don't. But the reason I don't is because it's put into these big theatres as its primary form, or its initial distribution.

"And the experience trickles down, to the extent where, if you have an iPad and you're watching a movie, you carry with you the knowledge and your understanding of what that cinematic experience would be and you extrapolate that.

"So when you watch a TV show on your iPad, your brain is in a completely different mindset."

Unsurprisingly, Nolan didn't mention what he thinks about people watching his movies on GameBoys.
