Some of us are blessed with great cooking skills, but those of us who aren't don't tend to apply to be on TV shows where you're purely judged on that basis.
Claire from Cardiff had different ideas. Either completely unaware that her cooking skills aren't that... conventional, or just game to give it a go anyway, lovely Claire decided to appear on Channel 4's Come Dine With Me.

The third host of the week, she appeared in season 43 of the show (I know, we are OLD), Claire dishes up a starter of prawns. So far, so good.
But when she tries to wow her guests with her 'Steak Americano' - yeah, I don't know why or how she came up with this either - things start to go a bit t*** up, with the chef seemingly oblivious.
There's a lot going on in the clip - but two main things have really stood out to people. To start with - Claire sure loves an oven glove, so much so that she uses them for pretty much everything TBH. First she puts her steak under the grill, then when it comes to turning them over decides that it's totally fine to use her oven gloves for it, saying: "Beats burning your fingers, doesn't it?"
She's not wrong.

Then she goes on to use the gloves to mix her chips up with them. Again, beats burning your fingers, ay Claire?
After getting out her restaurant standard planks she then goes onto commit a major crime against steak - after sprinkling them with bacon and grated cheese, she puts them in... THE MICROWAVE. Oh, Claire.
Then, almost desensitised to the barbaric over-use of the oven glove to replace basically any utensil, she gloves her half cooked chips into a wok.

And, after planking her mains up, to finish - the pièce de résistance: Claire tops it off with a nice big dollop of BBQ sauce.
Although it was first aired on TV in 2018, a clip that shows Claire's unique approach to cooking has surfaced on Twitter, and it's really grabbed people's attention.
One guy on Twitter posted the clip with the caption: "I cannot believe what I've just watched."

And to be honest, same.
Others were equally as shocked.
One person replied: "I just think of the guests who are now watching how she prepared their food..."
Another wrote: "This is why you really can't eat in everyone's home."

A third said: "Reason 282838282 why I don't eat from people."
It's the taking part that counts, Claire, don't listen to them.
