What makes something the 'hardest' question on The 1% Club?
They're supposed to get tougher as we go along with an increasingly small percentage of people able to get the correct answer, but by then most of the contestants have already been eliminated.
The more dramatic questions are the ones which send a huge number of people crashing out of the competition in shock because they couldn't figure it out.
Maybe you can, as on an episode of the ITV quiz show there was one question which eliminated a whopping 32 people from the game in scenes viewers described as a 'massacre'.

If you want to have a go then give yourself a 30 second timer and try to crack the following conundrum before the time runs out.

Assuming you were honest with your timings it's time to tell you what the right answer was, and of course the correct choice to make in this situation is C.
That's because if you had a widow then you'd already be dead and couldn't marry anyone, as with so many questions on The 1% Club the trick to solving it is buried in the questions and answers themselves, all you need to do is spot the words 'your widow' and you've got it sewn up.
Unfortunately for the people playing The 1% Club when this one came up it was easier said than done, since this was a 40 percent question and 32 people went off the show without getting it right.
Quiz host Lee Mack described the number of people who got that question wrong as 'massive' as he explained why C was the correct answer.
It's one of the biggest losses in contestants in the show's history so give yourself a pat on the back if you managed to get it right.
If you want to try another one which knocked 30 people off the show then give this 60 percent question a go.

With 18 faces in total and 10 of them happy the correct answer is 'happy', but 30 people didn't get that right and ended up not being able to play any more because of it.
So many details to pick out and only 30 seconds to do it in, no wonder some people didn't land on the right answer in time.
Mack was astonished at the number of people who went out during that round, then joked that 'there's 30 sad ones now'.
These ones get to be the hardest questions because they knocked the most people out, but by the time you get nearer the end of the show the brainteasers become seriously difficult even for those handful of people still left in.
Some viewers have even complained that it's 'impossible' to find the answer before the time runs out.
