Alison Hammond has spoken out after having to be rushed off the set of This Morning earlier today, leaving Dermot O’Leary to host by himself.
Hammond caused serious concern online when, during a This Morning segment in which she was mostly off camera, she could be seen heading off set clutching her chest.
Dermot O'Leary, her co-host who was seen rushing after her before quickly returning to the sofa, came out after the ad break and proceeded to say that she 'wasn't feeling well' and had to 'duck out', but that he hoped she would be able to return before the episode ended. She did not end up returning for the rest of the show, with O'Leary confirming this after a second ad break, saying he would be hosting by himself.

The moment, which was edited out of ITV+1 but can be seen below, raised concerns as she also appeared to cry out as she was leaving.
Taking to Instagram however she has reassured her fans that she is doing okay. She said in a post on her story in which she appears to be wearing a hospital gown: “Hello my lovelies I know you're all worried about me, honestly I am fine first of all, but I'm getting me old ticker checked out, I had a little bit of a palpitation and now i'm getting it all checked out.
"But I think I'm OK I'm hoping it was a just little panic attack or something like that. I love you all thank you for all your lovely messages.
"I’m so sorry I left you, I would never normally do that, I would never leave a TV show so you know i wasn't very well but hopefully i'm going to be alright.

"The doctors are so lovely and they’re checking me out and hopefully everything will be fine - everything is fine look, I’m rocking it - still got my make-up on from This Morning."
The moment raised serious concerns on social media, with a number of fans taking to X and Instagram hoping the best for her from the scary incident.
One tweet said: "Just watched This Morning seeing Alison Hammond get rushed off set clutching her chest was scary hope she’s ok 🙏🙏."
Another said: "What on earth has happened with Alison? Hope she's okay."
A third pointed out the moment being edited out of ITV+1, saying: "This is odd. On plus one - we just got a blank type screen when she obviously had the issue."
