Ant and Dec share real reason they didn’t appear on I’m A Celeb spin-off show following Tulisa’s absence

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! duo Ant and Dec have revealed why they didn't appear on the show's spin-off amid Tulisa Contostavlos' absence on Tuesday (3 December).

The N-Dubz star was the third celebrity to be voted off I'm A Celeb, but didn't appear on I'm A Celebrity: Unpacked after her departure from the Australian jungle.

Not only did Tulisa, 36, skip the spin-off show, but she also deleted all of her jungle-related social media posts off Instagram.

After fans were left confused over the move, Tulisa made an Instagram post captioned 'just need a little me time' and told fans she wanted to 'clear a couple things up'.

"I was on my Instagram trying to have a nice little scroll at some funny stuff. I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding in all the most positive ways," she explained to those wondering what had happened.

"But because it's been a while for me I can get overwhelmed quite easily. And I just started to feel overwhelmed. I thought do you know what, I really just need to take a bit of time for me and just chill.

"This is all feeling just a little bit much at the moment. I'm just going to archive all my stuff to do with the jungle. Then when the time is right and I've had a little time to process I'm going to make my own reels of all my best bits I really like."

Now, presenters Ant and Dec have weighed in, explaining why they were also absent from Unpacked.

After first joking they had to miss the show because of a fall out with hosts Joel Dommett and Sam Thompson, they added: "We couldn't do it because we're going down to camp to do an announcement so we had to go and prepare for that."

Following Tulisa deleting her social media posts, fans claimed they had 'figured out' why the singer had wiped her Instagram of all traces of the jungle.

Some viewers theorised that 'the amount of hate she has received' in the form of 'nasty comments' below her posts led her to archive them.

Following Tulisa's exit, radio DJ and presenter Melvin Odoom became the fourth celeb to leave the jungle on Tuesday.

After exiting, he said: "I was ready to go. The best thing about that camp is the people, I loved every single person in there.

"Oti's my girl, Danny, Bazza, he's got a voice on him."
