Ant and Dec call out I’m A Celeb star live on air for breaking major rule in controversial moment

To be fair, she wasn't exactly doing a good job of hiding it

Live on air last night (23 November), Ant and Dec called out one of the jungle’s campmates after they were spotted bending one of the key rules of the show.

Oh, it was only a matter of time, wasn’t it? I mean, I honestly can’t think of a series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! when at least one of the stars doesn’t get called out for this controversy.

And this year, it seems like it’s Alex Scott who has been caught in the act of handling contraband in the camp.

To be fair, if all of the celebrities have been getting in on this rule break, it’s pretty impressive that they’ve lasted pretty much a week before they’ve been caught out.

But Ant and Dec warned viewers as they went live at the end of the ITV show: “Watch this space.”

The contraband became obvious when the camp was preparing a 10-star dinner, earned thanks to the efforts of Angry Ginge during a Bushtucker Trial.

Scott was on cooking duties with Jack Osbourne, who she left to deal with the crocodile feet as their mystery meat of the night.

While he was boiling those, the former England footballer said: “Jack, you have fun with the crocodile toes and just give me the mushrooms, the potatoes, the kale, the veg, the rice.”

And then she brazenly added: “I can get a little stir fry thing going on and add some flavours in. I know people are going to be happy with that.”

Seeming to tip a little sachet over the scran, viewers were quick to catch her too as they wrote on X: “Alex not even tryna hide she has contraband is sending me, could of at least tried to hide in a bush or smth girl.”

“I think Alex had some contraband I'm sure I saw her put seasoning in the food,” another added.

As a third echoed: “Contraband alert! Did Alex think no one would see that?”

While a fourth realised: “I thought the meals seemed to be better than in previous years! Everyone was enjoying them way too much!! But it’s contraband again!”

With the camp trying out the crocodile, Scott really kept digging the hole as she said: “Like, salt all over that, you’d just think it was chicken.”

But the hosts obviously aren’t letting them have it as Ant said: "Was that a little bit of seasoning, Alex?”

“I think it was,” Dec added, “I think it was contraband, what’s going to happen? Watch this space.”

Any fan of the show will know that even bringing in something as simple as a sachet of salt is a major breach of the infamous ‘no contraband’ rule, and it’s likely the camp will be facing a bit of a punishment tonight.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! is available to watch daily at 9pm on ITV1 & ITVX.
