Claudia Winkleman has spoken out about why she picked her trio of traitors for Celebrity Traitors.
The first episode of the show launched last night to a massive success, the biggest premiere of any season of The Traitors thus far, with six million live viewers.
The all-star cast of the show had fans on Reddit calling it the most star-studded season of reality TV in UK history, with celebs such as Stephen Fry, Niko Omilana, Clare Balding, Lucy Beaumont, and Alan Carr amongst the cast list.

Despite some viewers feeling that Claudia’s fears about the spin-off had been confirmed by the first episode, a number absolutely loved the celebrity version of the show.
This was in large part due to her selection of traitors, one of whom was deemed the ‘worst Traitor ever’ by viewers, something that mega fans know is actually a huge compliment when it comes to entertainment value.
Spoilers ahead for the identity of the three traitors on Celebrity Traitors
In the end, Claudia went with Jonathan Ross, Cat Burns and Alan Carr for her choice of the three traitors.
Whilst Ross and Burns were immediately devious and duplicitous as they should be, Carr was immediately sweating and nervous, at one point openly talking about being a traitor with a Faithful in a nearby room.

One fan took to Reddit to discuss Carr as a traitor, saying: “Alan Carr might be one of the worst traitors ever but hey I'm laughing and he's completely self-aware so even better.”
Whilst many would probably agree – Carr was a shoe-in to be picked according to Claudia.

She said in an interview with the Radio Times: "I do those chats with them and they're much longer than you see. Then I go into a room with the bosses from the BBC, the brilliant casting group, and we sort of work [it] out together.
“We don't have long, but Alan said he wanted to be a Traitor, and they were compelling. So how could you not?"

Speaking to the BBC prior to the show’s release, Alan said: “Well people have asked, would you like to be a Traitor?
“The answer is, I don't know. I'm fascinated to know how I would cope with it if I was.

"I'm not known for my poker face, but you've just got to adapt. I'm indecisive, and that's the problem. But I think that's probably good because I’d say it’s best to have an open mind."
He finally added: "If I'm a Traitor, I’ll try to murder as many people as possible. If I'm a Faithful, I'll try and catch those Traitors. Whichever side, I think you can’t help but get sucked in.

"It becomes your world and that's the part that I'm quite looking forward to, the routine of it and just being fully immersed in it."
