Clarkson's Farm breakout star Harriet Cowan has explained why she had to give up the day job after debuting in season 4 of the Prime Video docuseries.
Brought in as Kaleb Cooper's replacement on Diddly Squat Farm, Cowan quickly introduced herself as a force to be reckoned with, backed up by her agricultural savviness.
Thanks to the streaming show's immense popularity, the 25-year-old was catapulted into the celebrity limelight, which proved tricky away from the cameras.
Before achieving fame, she worked as a full-time nurse in Derbyshire, visiting patients at home.

Interviewed by HELLO! Magazine ahead of the fifth season, which she cameos in, Cowan declared that she's now 'living everyone's dream'.

As for why she ditched her nursing career, the TV star explained: "When the show first came out, I turned my phone off for a while because I was like, 'This is insane.'
"I was being recognised by patients, and you've got to be professional [as a] nurse. You could be [at someone's house] for a really serious reason, and someone says 'I saw you on the telly', making it hard to be professional."
By opting to stay in that profession, Cowan would've had to turn down life-changing offers in a new and exciting world.
"I was starting to get deals coming in," she recalled. "I couldn't take any more annual leave and I was turning down crazy, big opportunities. I was like, this isn't working anymore."
Despite bidding Diddly Squat goodbye last year, the rising star made a surprise appearance during Episode 2 of the new series, which premiered on Prime Video today (June 3).
Together with Jeremy Clarkson, Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper, she was present at the farmer's protest in London before later stopping by The Farmer's Dog pub for the Christmas party.
Clarkson himself is an outspoken fan of his co-star, having previously told The Sun exactly how she's opened his eyes since teaming up on the famous farm.
"It was a surprise to me," he began. "I think a lot of people, certainly of my generation, look at kids on TikTok and think, 'What is the point of this meaningless existence they're all having?'
"But then she explained that it was a way she can connect with other people when she's doing something, because it is lonely. It suddenly made sense.
"Even though she's only a kid, she knows people who have killed themselves. I thought it was a poignant moment. The problem with these young farmers is they have no money.
"Their friends go to the pub at night and they can't afford to go, and their friends go on holiday, but they can't afford to go."
