Controversial new naked dating show 'more x-rated than Naked Attraction' will show people having sex

Controversial new naked dating show 'more x-rated than Naked Attraction' will show people having sex

There's only one way to outdo a show where the contestants all get naked

There's a new dating show on the way and it's found a way to outdo Naked Attraction.

We've come a very long way since the days of Blind Date, where you'd get a procession of prospective partners all dressed like regional bank managers.

Naked Attraction really was a gamechanger when it released in the UK, a dating show where the participants wore nothing but their birthday suits, but despite complaints and controversy it developed a loyal viewership and proved that the public were settle down to a bit of evening telly involving full frontal nudity.

Taking that concept and running with it, the new dating show on Paramount+ takes a group of single people and puts them in a South American villa where they're all stark b*****k naked.

It'll be presented by Rylan Clark, who told The Sun that he dispelled any early awkwardness between himself and the naked contestants by taking a good look at their dangly bits to get it out of the way.

"I just went, ‘I need them to feel comfortable with me, and I need to feel comfortable with them’. So I looked them in the eye and went, ‘I’m going to get this out of the way now’," he told the outlet of overcoming his first hurdle for the show, called Dating Naked.

"I looked down and did the sweep, and they all started laughing. I started laughing, the crew started laughing and then that was it."

The presenter explained that from then on 'the nakedness became secondary', and that the show does not make use of blurring or 'strategic camera angles'.

So far it's sounding like it's on the level of Naked Attraction, albeit without the slowly rising screens.

This version of Dating Naked is actually a revival of the show which was on TV in the US between 2014 and 2016, though that version did censor the nudity.

However, Rylan explained that putting a bunch of naked single people together on a dating show meant 'they're at it like rabbits', and Dating Naked doesn't shy away from showing that.

"There was a lot of sex. But again, why not? That’s what people do," he said.

"Breaking news... people have sex and on this show you see it."

To be honest, it was the logical next step in dating show escalation after Naked Attraction.

On the (Paramount) plus side you're not likely to accidentally come across this show while channel hopping with your parents, sparing you the unfortunate fate of sharing the experience of seeing people go at it on the TV screen.

If you want to watch Dating Naked then you'll need to have a Paramount+ subscription, either through Sky, Now or Prime Video.

After that, hop onto your app of choice and enjoy the show.

The first two episodes of Dating Naked will be available to stream on 23 August, with two more episodes of the 10 episode season releasing each subsequent Friday.
