A Deal or No Deal player became emotional as he opened up about his health and his fears he would die.

Brad appeared on last night’s episode of the show and was noticeably upset as he spoke to host Stephen Mulhern about being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

According to the NHS: “Motor neurone disease (MND) is a condition that affects the brain and nerves. It causes weakness that gets worse over time.

“There's no cure for MND, but there are treatments to help reduce the impact it has on a person's daily life.”

Appearing on the show, Brad was asked what he would spend his potential winnings on, to which he replied: “Last year, things changed quite a lot for me really, I was diagnosed with motor neurone disease…”

At this point his voice cracked as he said: “I never cry when I talk about it normally… So the prognosis isn’t really that great.

“So I’d put it towards my bucket list, go and see different places around the world, and give my family and partner some money before… yeah.”

Mulhern then asked if the ‘bucket list’ was because he was ‘given a certain time’.

“Yeah, inevitably that's how it goes,” Brad said. “Don’t get me wrong, Stephen Hawking lived for 55-years - do you know what I mean? But the average is, like, a few years.”

Sharing more about receiving his diagnosis, Brad told Mulhern that initially he had ‘given up on the world’ but had changed his outlook on life.

As he spoke about his condition, his fellow Deal or No Deal co-contestants could be seen wiping tears away.

With just four boxes left to open, Brad had pinned his hopes on winning £75,000. However, that dream was shattered in the final round and he sadly left the game with just £5.

Commenting on his bad luck, he told Mulhern: "This is my life. I've always had such bad luck. Nothing changes, I should have expected this."

Viewers were left feeling emotional after tuning into Brad’s game with one person posting on X: “I'm in floods of tears, poor Brad."

Another wrote: "That has got to be one of the saddest Deal or No Deal's I have seen. Poor Brad. #DealOrNoDeal.”

A third commented: "#DealOrNoDeal Brad deserved so much more, really unlucky guy I hope his life goes better in the future."
