The new season of Euphoria has taken an already controversial show and made it even more shocking with each new episode, with viewers split on whether that’s a good thing or not.
Whilst the five-year time jump for season three has addressed the problem with having a cast of actors in their late 20s trying to play high schoolers, it also seems to have allowed the show to go even further with its sexually explicit and graphic scenes now they aren’t teenagers.
Between Sydney Sweeney’s baby OnlyFans content and Jules getting wrapped in plastic in a BDSM-heavy mummification scene, the show has shown it is willing to go pretty far this season. The new episode however features a pretty disturbing scene, but many viewers will have probably missed the full graphic extent of it.

In season three Rue ends up working at the Silver Slipper strip club, and in the episode a new stripper, Kitty, begins entertaining a group of men.
Rue watches on the cameras horrified as Kitty, who is played by Anna Van Patten, is shown having sex with one of the men.
There is a graphic and disturbing reality to what happened in the scene however that many did not realise on their first watch.
One fan discussed the scene in the official Euphoria episode discussion post on Reddit, commenting: “The scene with the stripper/prostitute and the group of men was just so terribly disturbing and sad.”
Another comment said: “It made me feel sick.” In a subsequent scene Rue is seen speaking to Kitty as she corrects her make up in the bathroom, asking if she is being forced to work at the club.

The man shown having sex with Kitty is drinking from a champagne bottle, leading a follow up comment to ask: “Was it implying they used the bottle on her? I know that’s harsh to ask, but I’m genuinely not sure if that’s what was being shown.”
The consensus from all viewers involved appears to be that this is indeed what was implied and the scene appears to suggest he violated Kitty with a champagne bottle.
One comment with hundreds of up-votes said they ‘hadn’t realised’ this was what was being implied, whilst another suggested they skipped the scene entirely.
The fan said: “I completely agree. I had to fast forward through it, too hard to watch.”
A third fan said: “Holy sh*t, I missed that too. I was already disturbed without seeing that scene.”

Euphoria’s third season has been heavily criticised, with a score of just 40% on Rotten Tomatoes and a fan score of 44%.
Episode four of the newest season sits at an average score of just 7.3 on IMDb, with the lowest previous average score on IMDb for a single episode of Euphoria having been 8.0. All four episodes of Euphoria season three have scored less than an eight.
One IMDb review of the new episode said that season three ‘sucks’, adding: “ I loved this series the first two seasons and the whole vibe changed this season after waiting 4 years for it. Didn't even finish the last episode turned it off.
It's a shame because I was looking forward to it. Hopefully the rest of the season isn't like this and gets better!”
