Gogglebox star Daniel Lustig shares plans for future after speaking out about reason for divorcing Stephen Webb

If there's one thing people love, it's watching other people watch TV.

Channel 4's Gogglebox has been a stalwart of British TV since it first hit our screens back in 2013 and has made household names of many of its stars.

Over the years, viewers have become just as invested in the lives of the show's regulars as we are in the programmes they watch.

Two of the most iconic faces to hit the reality series are Stephen Webb and Daniel Lustig, who often shared their couch with their beloved pooches.

Earlier this year, fans were shocked to learn that the duo were getting divorced after being married for six years.

In a recent interview with Okay! Magazine, Daniel opened up about what led to them calling is quits.

He said: "Neither one of us wanted to be unhappy. When we called time on it, yes it was very upsetting, because when you get married and walk down the aisle you don't think that's ever going to happen, you can't think that, you have to think positively."

The pair decided that they would be better off as friends, with Daniel adding: “We got to the point where we'd talked about the breakup, about why we were breaking up, how we were going to go through it, and how we were both feeling.

"When we both felt in a stable place and a bit more confident, and also there for each other, that's when we put it out."

Now, the 43-year-old has revealed his plans for the future, sharing that he feels ready to find love again.

Speaking to Okay!, he said: "I believe in love and I absolutely still do. I do see myself falling in love again and even possibly getting married again one day."

Referencing how he met former husband Stephen in a queue at their local Town Hall, Daniels shared that he'd also like to meet his next partner in a chance encounter.

"Maybe I'll run out of poo bags and turn to a really hot guy and say, 'Hi, have you got any poo bags?' and he'll say 'Yeah here, and here's my number!'"

And he's not the only one getting back in the saddle.

Just weeks after their divorce announcement, it emerged that Stephen had signed up to Celebs Go Dating.

While Daniel doesn't know much about the show, he told The Mirror he'll 'definitely watch and support him.'
