The star of HBO's upcoming Harry Potter TV series has shared his reaction to receiving a letter from his film counterpart Daniel Radcliffe.
Dominic McLaughlin will take over the take over the reins of playing the 'Boy Who Lived' in an upcoming TV adaptation of JK Rowling's famous wizarding franchise for HBO.
Currently scheduled to be released in 2027, HBO's Harry Potter has already cast the series' biggest characters, including Professor Dumbledore, Severus Snape, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley. These actors will of course be taking over from the likes of Emma Watson, Michael Gambon, and Alan Rickman, who helped make the iconic franchise what it was.
While some of the actors may not be on the best of terms with Rowling it would appear several of the franchise's biggest stars still have a soft spot for the Wizarding World.

One of them is Radcliffe, as he recently sent a letter to McLaughlin, wishing him all the best for the upcoming role.
"I just wanted to write to him to say, ‘I hope you have the best time, and an even better time than I did — I had a great time, but I hope you have an even better time'," Radcliffe said in an interview with Good Morning America last month.
McLaughlin has now shared his reaction on CBBC's Saturday Mash-Up! Live, revealing that he was heading home on the train when his father handed him the letter.
"It was insane," the 11-year-old said.

"My dad just tapped me on the train and he just gave me this letter. I read it and then I got to the bottom, and it said, ‘Dan R.’ I was going mad, but I had to keep it [cool]. I was on the train."
Radcliffe also revealed that the new Harry Potter responded by sending 'a very sweet note back'.
"I just see these pictures of him and the other kids and I just want to hug them," the veteran actor said.
"They just seem so young. I just look at them and say, 'Oh it’s crazy I was doing that.' But it’s also incredibly sweet and I hope they’re having a great time."
