Ant and Dec explain why they're always 'looking at the floor' during Bushtucker Trials

Some viewers thought the reason was obvious, while others hadn't even thought about it

We are well into this year's I'm A Celebrity and viewers have already picked their favourites to win.

Hosts Ant and Dec teased after last night's show that viewers can finally vote for who they want to keep in the camp.

"Vote to save Danny Jones!!" one said, as another added: "Vote for Maura."

While some are focused on keeping their favourites in the jungle, others are more interested in why the Geordie duo 'always look at the floor' during the Bushtucker Trials.

Well, here is your answer:

Taking to their TikTok page, Ant and Dec were answering fan questions, as one person wrote in: "How do you watch the trials?

"Because it looks like you're looking at the floor."

"Good question," Ant replied.

"We're not looking at the floor, if there's, if they've got to put their hands in something or if they're underground or whatever, we have to look at a TV screen, with a little monitor down there.

"So that's what we're looking at.

"But they hide it behind grass and leaves.

"So it just looks, just looking at the floor like, well done.

"That's one meal for camp. I never thought about that before. Why didn't anyone bring it up?"

Commenting on the post, one viewer thought it 'was obvious they are watching the monitor whilst the trial is going on'.

However, a second person thought: "That's a good point lads I never even thought about it."

"I never noticed that about the TV screens! It's clever how they blend it with the surroundings. Secrets are always so sneaky!" a third added.

As a fourth penned: "Sneaky well done about to watch it now."

That being said, the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle may not be as real as you think.

The ITV show has always been filmed in New South Wales, besides the North Wales pandemic years, but the set isn't actually a stand-alone jungle.

12 of the celebs are actually camped up in a site, which is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, totalling 366,500 hectares from Newcastle to Brisbane.

Similar to most TV sets, not everything can be as authentic as it's made out to be on the telly.

The presenting duo previously made a confession about the jungle, as Ant said in a TikTok video: "They don’t cover the camp."

Dec added: "There’s like a canopy."

"There’s a canopy in the middle so all the beds are here," Ant continued, before using Dec’s breakfast beans to demonstrate viewers at home.

While the canopy might cover the beds, it won’t be much use if the rain is coming sideways, Ant said.
