Following their debut on screen in 2007, the Gosselins became one of the most famous families on American TV.
Jon & Kate Plus 8 followed the parents and their eight kids; twin girls Mady and Cara and of course, sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel and Leah.
In season one, the eldest daughters were just six years old with the younger brood only two.
Living in a five-bed home in Pennsylvania, the TLC series became a huge success and ran for 11 seasons, but by 2010 it was renamed Kate Plus 8 as it followed her as divorced mum raising the kids.

She was initially awarded primary custody of the eight children but later, two of them ended up living with Jon.
Making plenty of us feel old, the twins are now 25 and the sextuplets 22, and they’ve since started to speak out as Hannah admitted the show is ‘hard to watch back’.
Cara

Graduating from Fordham University with dual majors in mathematics and economics in 2023, the eldest twin’s LinkedIn says she is now a Leasing Credit Officer at Bank of America.
Her profile says she supports ‘the Healthcare, Education, and Not-for-Profit team’.
Cara doesn’t have a huge social media presence and lives in New York City.
Mady

Taking a different path to her twin, the 25-year-old graduated from Syracuse University in 2023 with a BA in English textual studies, film & screen studies and a minor in art history.
She previously shared updates of her life on TikTok but has since deleted her videos, opting for the same private life it seems most of her siblings have gone for.
Before she headed off for college in 2017, Mady told PEOPLE: “I would love to perform in some way. And I feel like I could write some sort of memoir already."
Alexis

Last summer, she made a rare appearance on her mum’s TikTok, having become relatively private, so we can presume she may be one of the kids who still lives with Kate in North Carolina.
Documented in the series though, she appeared to have quite a love of animals and in 2017 also told PEOPLE she was ‘definitely going to work with animals someday’.
She and three of the other sextuplets were featured on their mum's Instagram in May 2025 when they celebrated their joint 21st birthday together. "And just like that, they turned 21! Happy Birthday to my 6!" Kate wrote, with Collin and Hannah missing.
Aaden

As is a bit of a trend with the grown-up kids now, Aeden also lives pretty privately off social media. He’s made appearances on his mum’s social media too though.
He was asked for his ‘favourite memory’ from Jon & Kate Plus 8 and said: “Probably any time we went to Wyoming. That was really fun, yeah."
Kate went on to say he’s ‘very chill’ and ‘just a laidback guy’ as it appears he also lives with her.
Collin

Collin’s life since the show is probably the most unique to his siblings and he has been the most outspoken about the situation.
When he was 11, Kate sent her son to a behavioural institution for what she claimed to be ‘unpredictable and violent behaviour’.
And in September 2025 he alleged to The US Sun that he believed it was because he questioned why the show continued following his parents' divorce.
“I questioned her about everything, and that came before the rebellion of me not wanting to be on camera and be a part of her circus.… That questioning led to me later not wanting to be on camera, and that really killed her,” he claimed.
Kate has spoken out in the past about loving Collin ‘with all my heart’ and said he was placed in the facility for her and his siblings’ ‘safety’ as well as ‘for his own well-being’.
“His brothers and sisters and I have not been directly involved in his life due to his history of unpredictable behaviour and violent tendencies towards us,” she said in a statement.
Collin lived with Jon and after being discharged from the Marines, launched a power-washing company.
In a TikTok live in 2025 he said: “I don't talk to my siblings, and I very much wish that we did and that they knew who I actually was because we don't know each other at all.”
He since added that he has a relationship with Hannah.
Collin has a book coming out in October titled In the Shadow of Eight and was cast in reality series Special Forces: 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥’𝘴 𝘛𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘛𝘦𝘴𝘵!.
The 22-year-old wrote on Instagram: "For a long time, I wasn’t sure I’d ever tell this story. Growing up, millions of people watched my life on television. People felt like they knew me. They knew my family. They watched me grow up. But there was so much they never saw.
"For years, I kept those experiences to myself. Some because I was afraid. Some because I didn’t think anyone would believe me. And some because I just wasn’t ready. Writing this book forced me to revisit some of the hardest moments of my life, but it also gave me something I’ve been searching for for a long time: my voice.
"This isn’t the story people think they know. It’s the story I’ve lived."
Hannah

In 2018, Hannah began living full-time with Jon, later joined by Collin.
She went on to launch her own vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand, Gosselin Girl Beauty and went to the University of Miami to study business administration.
Hannah is perhaps the most public on social media out of the siblings and often shares photos and previously a TikTok with the twins.
Like her brother Collin, she has also spoken out more about the show and told Teen vogue last year that filming made her and her siblings ‘closer to each other’ as they didn’t realise it wasn’t ‘normal’ to be surrounded by cameras.
“Even though it made my parents further from each other,” she admitted and added: “It’s hard to go back and watch my parents argue.”
Leah

Leah has spells of occasionally posting on social media and has previously joined Kate for social media content too.
But she also keeps relatively private and is studying at university.
Joel

It might not come as a surprise at this point, but Joel also keeps largely off social media.
Kate has occasionally posted updates of him and his siblings. And his LinkedIn says that he is currently studying accounting and business management at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
