Naked Attraction team forced to remove contestant from set after getting 'too excited' on show

Anna Richardson revealed that one Naked Attraction contestant became so overcome with ‘excitement’ he had to be escorted off stage.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, Naked Attraction sees people going through rather unusual lengths to bag themselves a date.

Six stark naked potential dates are stashed away inside pods.

As the fully-clothed picker starts to eliminate the would-be dates, their naked bodies are slowly revealed from the bottom up until there's only two naked people left to choose from.

The picker then strips off, too, and chooses one date from the two naked people in front of them.

The show is fronted by Richardson, who is on hand to talk the picker through their choices, and helps to calm any frayed nerves.

Speaking on The Andy Jaye Podcast, Richardson once let listeners in on some behind-the-scenes secrets about the show.

The 53-year-old revealed that the blokes who appear on the show all implement a crafty trick to ensure they’re looking their best when the cameras are rolling.

She said: "The boys always want the studio to be warm, and they're all doing that crafty tug behind the pods because they want their manhood to look their very best.

"They're always fiddling and touching... whereas the girls want the studio to be freezing because they want their boobs to look their very best."

A former Naked Attraction contestant called Gavin also let slip that some of the men would be 'shaking themselves' during waiting times 'to try and make themselves look bigger'.

Meanwhile, Richardson also revealed that one contestant became so erm… excited that a helpful floor manager had to step in and tell him to cool down. Awkward.

Anna explained: "We did have a couple of seasons ago, there was a young man who I think might have been in the pink pod and he was getting a little bit excited about what was about to happen.

"So our lovely floor manager, Dave the floor manager, had to go 'come on' and just had to escort him off the floor for a little while, just to calm down.

"And then he was brought back onto set."

Anna added: "It all happens. Boys being boys - you can't control your anatomy, can you?

"So, there's been a little bit of excitement."

I’m not sure ‘excited’ is the word I'd use at the thought of being completely naked on national TV.
