Netflix fans warned about incredible feature when you search code '9875'

9875 is the grisliest code on the Netflix cheat sheet

All of us are familiar with the age-old phrase 'you can never have too much of a good thing' but this doesn't always apply when you're searching for a new TV show to watch.

Long gone are the days where our television viewing was restricted to whatever programme was currently being broadcast.

Now we have endless amounts of TV series, films and documentaries at the press of a button (and £10.99 a month), ready for our viewing pleasure thanks to the likes of Netflix.

The idea of endless amounts of choice may sound like a dream come true - until you're frantically flicking through screens looking for something to watch before your dinner goes cold.

Thankfully the boffins at Netflix are more than aware about the dangers of leaving people helplessly staring at the Netflix homepage for hours and created a series of codes which can bring up the exact selection of shows you're looking for.

A cheat sheet for streaming services, if you will.

Shared in a post on the Facebook page 'Netflix Bangers' one unsung hero revealed the necessary codes for pretty much every type of show you could be looking for.

For example, type in the code '8985' and all of the martial arts movies on the platform will appear.

In the mood to break out the Christmas movies in June? Simply search '1394527' into the search bar (you need to be using Netflix on the web browser for this to work, sorry) and you can spend an evening in watching various festive rom-coms.

Just add your desired code on the end of the URL 'netflix.com/browse/genre/' and you're good to go.

Simple, right?

So now you're probably wondering, what's the deal with code '9875' specifically?

Don't worry, it's not going to cause your laptop to self-destruct but it's definitely a code to keep hidden from any armchair detective in your life.

If you haven't guessed already, code '9875' gathers all of the true crime shows into one easily accessible place.

Never again will you have to spend time trawling through random titles, as the likes of The Tinder Swindler, Making a Murderer and The Ted Bundy Tapes will be a single click away.

Naturally true crime lovers were ecstatic to see all of their favourite shows in one place, with one user writing on social media: "It works. Best way to find True crime on Netflix."

"I didn't think this would work this is really cool thank you," a second person added.
