Two shows have dominated the 2023 Emmy nominations

Two shows are set to dominate the Emmys this year with the full list of nominations released today.

Leading the way with a massive 27 nominations is the hit HBO show Succession (streaming on Binge in Australia), which wrapped up its fourth and final season in May.

Australian actress Sarah Snook has been nominated for the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Shiv Roy, while Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin and Jeremy Strong will battle it out for the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

The groundbreaking TV series was also nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.

Unsurprisingly, The White Lotus also topped the nominations with 23 nods.

Jennifer Coolidge, Meghann Fahy, Sabrina Impacciatore, Aubrey Plaza and Simona Tabasco have all been nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Meanwhile, F. Murray Abraham, Michael Imperioli, Theo James and Will Sharpe will go head-to-head in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category.

In the comedy categories, Disney Plus's The Bear and Only Murders In The Building are up for Outstanding Comedy Series along with Apple TV Plus's Ted Lasso and Binge's Jury Duty.

The Bear's Jeremy Allen White will battle it out for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series with Ted Lasso's Jason Sudeikis and Barry's Bill Hader.
