Tyson Fury is coming out of retirement (for the fifth time) in a huge fight streamed live on Netflix against Arslanbek Makhmudov.
Fury’s fight is his first on Netflix as the streamer continues to aggressively expand into the boxing world, continuing from Jake Paul’s mega fight against Anthony Joshua last year.
The fight takes place tomorrow, 11 April, however today Netflix will be releasing a brand-new season of their reality series focused on Fury and his family, At Home With the Furys.
Whilst this may seem like all good news for fans of Fury with a Netflix subscription, but millions could be at risk of a £1,000 fine for watching his fight against Makhmudov.
Why could I be risking a £1,000 fine by watching the Tyson Fury fight on Netflix?
The risk all comes into play when you consider that, in the eyes of the law, watching TV live on Netflix is classed in the same way as watching any other form of live TV even though it’s a streamer.

This means that, even if all you have is Netflix and you’re watching it live on your laptop, you still need a TV license in the UK to watch any live broadcast.

This includes sports events such as Tyson Fury’s fight, other boxing events, or live events such as the WWE that are streamed on Netflix.
BBC sources have previously confirmed to LADbible that if you get caught without a TV license watching a live Netflix event you could be liable to enforcement actions.
The maximum fine for this is £1,000.
What time is the ring walk for Fury vs Makhmudov?

Fury’s return fight comes against the massive Russian power-puncher Makhmudov, with rumours suggesting it is a warmup fight ahead of a long-awaited bout with Anthony Joshua later this year.
Boxing fans will all too well know the experience of being made to stay up till the early hours of the morning for a fight that only ends up lasting a few minutes – this time round you won’t have that struggle.
The event starts at 7pm in the UK, with ring walks for the main event expected at 10pm.
Who is Arslanbek Makhmudov?

Makhmudov will be looking to play spoiler in by far the biggest fight of his career to date.
Standing at 6 foot 6 inches, he has a record of 21-2 and beat English Heavyweight David Allen in his last fight to win the WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title.
Fury acknowledged that Makhmudov is a ‘dangerous opponent’, however he is still a massive underdog in the bout.
Where can I watch At Home with the Furys season two and what does it cover?
