Virgin Island viewers left stunned as participants strip off and go fully nude on show

Tonight's episode takes things to the 'next level'

It might be in its second week of airing, but Virgin Island is still leaving viewers stunned.

The wild Channel 4 series has sparked a whole load of conversations since it started with the work of sex surrogates, therapists and bodyworkers proving controversial.

And just when viewers thought they’d prepared themselves enough for what goes on in the show, tonight’s (20 May) episode takes things to the ‘next level’.

No, it’s not the sex you might be expecting (just yet) but a number of the Virgin Island participants strip off and go fully nude for the cameras.

This all comes as they continue to work with the experts on a ‘hands on’ course in intimacy to overcome the fears holding them back from going all the way.

Sure, it seems like a standard part of the Virgin Island package that there would be some full-frontal nudity but it’s still leaving people shocked.

Already available on streaming, episode four sees the participants enter a new phase of the course: The Body.

And it kicks off with them being invited to step up in front of the rest of the group in a robe and strip off as much as they feel comfortable with.

While 30-year-old Ben chooses to just go topless and some of the girls stick to just underwear, three of the lads are shown opting to go the full monty.

Jason gets up first with a confident ‘YOLO’ as he pushes through his self-consciousness to appear fully nude both in front of the group and on-screen.

Dave also does the same with viewers catching a glimpse of their penises. While Zac goes nude for the group, he is not shown on camera.

The theme of feeling more comfortable with their bodies and the body of another continues into the episode as both Charlotte and Louise overcome their body confidence issues to strip off in one-to-one sessions with the experts.

It’s a clear bit of bravery from the participants as they openly discuss their self-consciousness and attachments to their body image, admitting how much they better feel afterwards.

And as last night’s episode showed the teaser for this nudity and more, users on X said they were having to ‘mentally prepare’ to watch it.

Really ramping it up, it’s of course not just the participants going nude but also a handful of the experts going full-frontal on camera.

In one scene, surrogate Kat does a ‘show and tell’ of her vagina, to help give the lads a better understanding of the female anatomy. She shows them each part as many of them learn where the clitoris is for the first time.

So, yeah, tonight’s episode is quite the watch.

“Holy hell, tomorrow’s episode!” one wrote and that pretty much sums it up.

Another added: “Sorry wtf is happening in the next episode?!? My jaw droppeddddddd.”

Virgin Island is available to stream and watch on Channel 4 at 9pm tonight.
