Viewers slam 'satanic rituals' during Sam Smith and Kim Petras' Grammys performance

Christians were fuming at all the 'devil worship' that was going on during the gig.

Some viewers watching the 65th Grammy Awards were clutching their pearls when Sam Smith and Kim Petras performed their incredible track 'Unholy'.

There's no doubt the song was one of the biggest of 2022 and that's why it was given a spot during the annual awards ceremony in Los Angeles.

If you've heard it before then you'll be well aware it focuses on a saucy story.

The first part of the track is about a man who is cheating on his wife by doing 'something unholy', while Petras' part looks at a woman who just uses a man for his money.

The music video was filled with lustful dancers and a lot of sexual imagery, so there should be no surprise whatsoever that the duo's live performance at the Grammys was going to be full-on.

However, some viewers have accused Smith and Petras of doing 'satanic rituals' while singing their song together.

One person wrote: "Somebody named Sam Smith dressed as Satan performed a song called 'Unholy' at the #GRAMMYs. They're indoctrinating your children."

Another added: "Sam Smith and Kim Petras performing their disgusting song titled 'Unholy' at the 2023 Grammys. I didn’t want to post this video but I have to expose how satanic the music industry is. This is so demonic. Stop listening to this GARBAGE. It’s witchcraft! Seek Jesus."

A third said: "Grammys is just pure devil worship. Just flipped over to it, and Sam Smith was basically doing satanic crap on stage...It’s all so effin gross and disgusting."

But, it's hardly outrageous compared to some of the other performances that have graced the Grammys stage in the past.

There have been loads of songs that have been done with religious themes and they have never failed to attract negative attention from some groups.

In addition to their performance of 'Unholy', Sam Smith and Kim Petras won a Grammy Award for the track in the Best Duo/Group Performance category.

During her speech, Petras said: “Sam graciously wanted me to accept this award because I am the first transgender woman to win this award.”

The German star went on to thank 'all the incredible transgender legends before me who kicked these doors open for me so I could be here tonight'.

Sam could be see cheering on Petras during the speech and the rest of the crowd roared with a standing ovation when she was done.
