There's A 'Dodgeball' Reunion For Charity

"Remember the 5 D's of dodgeball: Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge." - Patches O'Houlihan. Gone, but never forgotten.

There's no doubting that Patches, and the film that he appeared in, Dodgeball, was something that made you believe in yourself. The word underdog is often thrown about in sports, but for the Average Joe's, it never fitted more.

Coached by Patches, the team were taught that if they could dodge a wrench they could dodge a ball. And dodge they did.

They dodged their way right into the final of a tournament in Las Vegas where they met rivals Globo Gym. They, of course, won.

Now though, they're back, ready to take on White Goodman's team yet again for the good of charity.

Raising money for the Stiller Foundation, Globo Gym and Average Joe's will be going at it, and any of us can sign up to win the chance of joining either team.

Ben Stiller will be there too, and there's even a chance you could grab a slice on pizza with him.

"Join Team Globo Gym-or Average Joe's, if losing is your thing-as they face off on the dodgeball court for one final showdown," it says on the Stiller Foundation site.

"Strap on your knee-pads, hike up your shorts and put on your sweatband. It's rematch time and you're on the squad.

"Goodman and the guys will train you to throw wrenches and dodge blindfolded with the best. The competition is fierce this time and you're going to need to step it up.

"Get outfitted in custom-made team t-shirts and let the balls fly. After the game (aka, after the Purple Cobras dominate), you'll take a team photo together so you can remember the time you crushed Average Joe's once and for all. Then, you and Ben will grab some pizza to celebrate."

Stiller's charity supports children around the world by providing educational opportunities to help them realise their full potential.

You get to help, play Dodgeball with White Goodman, AND the cast are reunited. Win, win.
