Why visit the Egyptian Pyramids when they can be beamed straight into your house?
Which is something that fans of US streamer and YouTuber IShowSpeed got to do when the 20-year-old travelled all the way to Giza to show his followers exactly what is inside the 4,500-year-old structures.
Filmed as part of his series 'Speed Does Africa' the content creator, real name Darren Watkins Jr, began the video with drone shots of the pyramids before entering inside one of the narrow cavens.
"We are about to make history right now. Nobody has never streamed inside of the Pyramids," he said at the start of the clip.

Which is a milestone that would've been difficult to describe to the tens of thousands involved in the construction of the pyramids, but pretty impressive nonetheless.

Watkins is then escorted around winding passageways and vast chambers inside one of the pyramids by an archeologist, marvelling at the structure.
"This is insane man, we're really live inside the pyramids bro," he said in the video, which saw over 3.5 million people tune in to watch.
Watkins didn't only show his followers footage from inside the pyramids, with the creator also seen on waving an Egyptian flag on a camel at one point in the three hour video.

He later visited the famous Great Sphinx, a nearby museum and took a paratrike flight over the entire complex.

The stream was well received amongst Watkins' followers, with several viewers referring to the video as a 'historic moment' for streaming.
"Speed flying over the pyramids was peak absolute scenes outta egypt," wrote on person, while a second penned: "Thank you for the archeologist, did a good job explaining things to us and to Speed. Good job man."

"Let’s just take in the beauty of the continent. And seeing the pyramids inside and out this way is phenomenal!!" added a third person.

Watkins is part of a long list of creators who've filmed videos at location.
MrBeast famously spent a whopping 100 hours inside of the pyramids to film a video back in 2025, which included an exclusive tour and access restricted areas.
The YouTuber had been able to get such extensive access after requesting a permit from the Egypt Film Commission, which allowed him to film for five days, as well as working with local archeologists and Egyptologists (via The Art Newspaper).

However, IShowSpeed is the only one who holds the title of the first content creator to have live streamed inside the pyramids.
What will he do next?
