Although planes are probably a home away from home for most pilots, this captain couldn't bear to stay cooped up in one for a second longer - even for $500,000.
Armando, a commercial pilot, was offered the huge sum by YouTube sensation MrBeast after completing a 100-day stint inside a $2.5million private jet.
As part of the social media star's latest wacky challenge, he offered the father-of-one the chance to win the plush plane, on the condition that he could live inside it for around three months.
Armando was permitted to get a bit of fresh air by sitting on the plane steps, but if he put one foot on solid ground, it was game over.

You might think that spending 100 days of solitude on a swanky private jet wouldn't be too difficult, however, the pilot compared the place to 'prison' soon into the challenge.

Armando had to make do with what amenities the plane had - so he made food in a microwave, sustained himself on canned meats, and used the seats as a makeshift bed, which he said was 'not comfortable to sleep on'.
He didn't have a 'real kitchen' to make use of, or even a shower, so he was forced to clean himself with wipes for the entirety of the challenge.
In a video documenting how Armando inhabited the private jet for 100 days, MrBeast said: "Even though this jet is a world-class vehicle, it's not built for a person to live in.

"So over the next 100 days, it is going to get a lot more difficult," he warned, before outlining the rules the pilot had to follow."
"If any part of your body touches the ground outside this plane, the video ends and you lose this private jet," MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, explained.

Armando had to grapple with boredom, loneliness and living without home comforts, so it's no wonder he began to question his sanity during the 100-day challenge.
While vlogging his experience inside the jet, he told viewers that the 'walls were starting to cave in', joked that 'this is what prison is like' and once pondered: "Maybe I'm hallucinating..."

However, the dad was permitted to fly the plane wherever he wished - so as well as ferrying MrBeast and his pals through the clouds to locations like New York and Miami, he also made trips to landmarks such as Niagara Falls.
On the tenth day of the challenge, MrBeast offered Armando the chance to fly the plane and receive $50,000 (£37,000) in cash - or the opportunity to add a shower inside the jet for him to use over the next 90 days.

He chose the first option and bagged the money, before being tempted by another alluring offer from the billionaire YouTube star.
MrBeast gave him the choice between an inflatable bed or a Lamborghini worth $250,000 (£185,300) - and he opted for the blow-up mattress instead.

While living on the private jet, Armando totted up the costs which come with owning an aircraft of this calibre, such as for its storage, fuel and maintenance - which is why MrBeast gave him the opportunity to win more cash throughout.
Although he really tried to keep himself busy and form a routine to help him stay sane, the father did break down at one point because he was 'missing his family'.
"I want to take my beautiful wife and daughter with me all around the world on this private jet," he said of his motivation for completing the challenge.
Speaking of his family, Armando added: "This morning, I woke up just thinking about like family. Like, I miss them. I want to go see them. I just want to cuddle with my wife.
"My weak point is my family. They deserve to know how I'm doing. I just want a hug. I'll take a hug. This is the longest I've ever gone without seeing them, without talking to them."
On the 50th day of the challenge, MrBeast let Armando's loved ones visit him on the plane, which proved to be the fuel the dad needed to get the job done.

He managed to survive 100 days living on the private jet - but he was more than ready to leave on the last day, as he extraordinarily turned down MrBeast's offer to do another 100 days in return for half a million dollars (£370,700).
As his wife and child turned up at the hangar ready to reunite with him, Armando decided he'd much rather go home with his girls than do another three months away from them.
MrBeast explained that to help offset the carbon emissions from the jet, he had planted thousands of trees and is working with the Arbor Day Foundation to support certified carbon removal projects that restore forests and remove CO₂ from the atmosphere.
Sounds like everyone's a winner, eh?
