Just yesterday I was given my friend's goldfish Chantelle to look after for the month while he is dotted about all over the country for work.
I'd been thinking about getting a pet for a while and had initially thought about getting a dog. However, after realising I'd never looked after anything but myself for my entire life, I decided I needed to go smaller. The idea of a couple of degus (Chilean rodent) was floated about and, after much deliberation, I've settled on getting them once I can afford it.
Looking after Chantelle for the month means I can work my way up to the responsibility of the degus (who I'm calling Rodney and James, if you're interested).
Naturally, the excitement of getting my very first pet means I've spent a lot of time on the Internet looking at pictures of hamsters, guinea pigs and degus.
But no picture of a hamster quite caught me like this one on a Reddit Photoshop battle thread.
I mean, that is absolute Photoshop gold, is it not? Look at him!
Anyway, Redditors did what they do best and Photoshopped the hamster into all sorts of situations that tickled me greatly...
