Single Woman Calls Out Man Who Accidentally Sent Her Text Meant For Mate

A woman has publicly called out her Bumble date for a brutal text he meant to send to his friend.

It's an easy mistake to make, but you'd think you would double-check if you were sending such a savage text in which you call a girl a '4/10' and say you're only seeing her out of 'desperation'.

The man ultimately got what was coming to him, after healthcare admin worker Samantha Burroughs decided to expose her Bumble match for his painful error on social media.

Burroughs' Bumble date may have told her how 'lucky' he felt to meet her, but in a message he thought was going to his 'bro', the man called the 25-year-old 'a solid four'.

Reflecting that 'desperate times call for desperate measures' and 'beggars can't be choosers', his message caused Burroughs' 'jaw [to] hit the floor'.

After realising that his message had not, in fact, gone to his friend, but that he had told his date herself that he wanted to keep his relationship with her 'on the low' and that 'all [he] saw was tits and an easy lay', Burroughs' Bumble date despairingly tried to pretend that he was 'talking about someone else'.

In classic 21st Century fashion, Burroughs' took to TikTok to mend her broken heart, leading to her Bumble date's text blunder to go viral.

Despite it being the 21st century, the Bumble date has since messaged Burroughs demanding that she remove the video from the platform, and calling her 'crazy,' 'fat'.

He also told Burroughs she has 'daddy issues,' before trying to excuse his words by saying he'd been drinking.

Burroughs noted how much her Bumble date's 'joke' hurt her. "The comments about 'desperate times', 'beggars can't be choosers' and 'easy lay' - they sucked," she said. "It belittled me and it was childish."

She reflected: "He went from being really respectful and having really good grammar to talking like he was a high school boy. It's amazing how men can totally deceive you. It seemed like two totally different people.

"When I saw him send the photo I thought he was going to say something perverted and sexualise my body and ruin the whole thing, but then I read the text and I just didn't know what to say.

"Initially I was very shocked. My jaw hit the floor then I was laughing a bit because It's so typical of my luck with men. I didn't reply with anything because I didn't know what to say."

Burroughs explained that her Bumble date's rating of her 'didn't get to [her] as much' because she doesn't 'really get how that works', but that the stark contrast between his profile and the reality of his personality had her gobsmacked.

She said: "I do try to really read people's profiles to see what their interests are, and this guy had things in there about loving kids and things that are attractive traits.

"He was attractive. The tall, dark and handsome type. He had really pretty eyes and lips too. He was interested in the same things I'm interested in. He sounded very respectful and seemed like he was appreciative of my time."

Other TikTokers have been quick to leap to Burroughs' defence, with the video having amassed more than 1.5 million views and 25,000 comments.

One user wrote: "Did he think his attempt at saving the situation was somehow better?"

Another said: "Honestly to me instant love bombing and compliments like that are a huge red flag."

A third commented: "You're so beautiful! We love it when the trash takes itself out."

Burroughs resolved: "It hurt, but I dodged a bullet. I'd rather that happen than we hang out and think it's going somewhere, then realise he's using me for sex or something like that."
