Humans And Dinosaurs Lived Together According To This Attraction

Most people now believe that dinosaurs were alive around 65 million years ago. Unless you think that Jurassic Park was a documentary, this is pretty much as accepted as the fact that the Earth is round.

Unless your name is Ken Ham. In that case, you believe that Noah's Ark really happened and dinosaurs were on board alongside the tarantulas and monkeys. According to him, the world is only 6000 years old anyway.

Oh, but don't just believe it! Brainwash children into believing it to by making a tourist attraction that depicts this as fact!

The most important question, however, is whether the children have to go in to the attraction two by two?

The Ark Encounter in Kentucky is basically a big fuck-off ark (510-foot-long) that showcases models of animals (and freaking DINOSAURS), all in separate little cages. You can walk among the animals and peek in at them while they're asleep. Aww.

In a blog post, Ham explained: "Although there are about 668 names of dinosaurs, there are perhaps only 55 different 'kinds' of dinosaurs. Furthermore, not all dinosaurs were huge like the brachiosaurus, and even those dinosaurs on the Ark were probably 'teenagers' or young adults."

He continued: "Without getting into all the maths, the 16,000-plus animals would have occupied much less than half the space in the Ark (even allowing them some moving-around space)."

Did I mention that unicorns are also featured in the $100 million project?

Local resident, Jim Helton, was quoted by the Portland Press Herald as saying: "Basically, this boat is a church, raising scientifically illiterate children and lying to them about science."

On the other hand, CBS spoke to Rachael Cross who said: "The truth. The absolute truth. God's word is the Bible and it's the absolute truth. I totally believe that."

We're not here to say whether or not God (or god) is real. That's a discussion for a different time. However, many Christians believe that the Bible can be taken in a non-literal sense as the stories inside it teach us different lessons.
