It's a sad state of affairs when a train conductor telling the truth is a newsworthy article, but here we are. I'm writing about it and you're reading it.
We've all been there when your brain isn't quite in the right place for work. The lights are on but no-one's home. You're literally on autopilot until the clock hits 5pm and you can crawl back into bed and binge-watch yet another episode of How I Met Your Mother on Netflix. Look at yourself, you're a mess.

Anyway, this train driver had one of those days. But rather than try and cover it up, he went for the 'honesty is the best' method. And it totally worked, people were loving it. They were all like, 'OMG. A train driver is being HONEST'. I assume they then all ate cucumber sandwiches and had cups of tea 'cos that's what the British do, right?

I'd definitely be one of the people laughing, but imagine if that was your stop? You'd be pretty pissed off.

Metro spoke to Matt Warren, a passenger on the train. He said: "It was packed and miserable as usual, but this brought a smile to everyone's face, at least all the faces I could see.
"It was a welcome mood lifter on a truly risible commuter line. Hats off to a driver who told it like it was and was honest about what was actually going on for a change."
Apparently Matt then went on to say that the driver deserved a promotion. Jesus, Matt. Chill out. Promotions are reserved for people who do well in their jobs, right? Surely this is the opposite?
Although, I do like the sound of the driver.
