Scottish University Begs Students To Stop Sh*tting In Showers and Bins

A rather bizarre trend.

We've all done something a little 'wild' at uni, right?

What extremes that extends to, however, should stay between you and the fields of wheat you ran through.

But, there's a rather odd trend hitting a Scottish university at the moment.

Students at Strathclyde University received a warning asking them to stop shitting in bins and showers at its Technology and Innovation Centre.

And people question the maturity of young voters? I wonder why?

One insider told the Metro: "This building houses some of the most intelligent brains in the world - yet they don't appear to know how to use the toilet.

"The cleaners are sick of coming across poo and used toilet paper in places it just shouldn't be."

An email sent out by facilities, said: "Given the incidence of people pooing in bins, showers and the likes - can I please remind all TIC occupants that the toilets have been provided for that specific purpose.

"All bodily fluid, solids and toilet paper must be disposed of down the toilet.

"While I appreciate that the TIC population is multicultural and different countries have different practices, here in the UK the accepted practice is to use only the WC."

The phrase suggesting that the practices could be caused by a clash of cultures saw the email immediately withdrawn.

A spokeswoman for Strathclyde University, said: "We've apologised for any offence caused to colleagues.

"The email contained sentiments completely contrary to our institutional values and should not have been sent. It was recalled as soon as it came to our attention and we swiftly issued an apology to staff."

University is all about new experiences, and that may full well involve shitting in unfamiliar territory - although we strongly advise against dropping one anywhere except a toilet.

New experiences, for many students, includes sex. And it's important to know which universities can offer the best chances of this happening.

In 2016, Leeds Beckett topped the list, with an average of 8.45 partners. Southampton came a close second, with the London School of Economics in third.

Liverpool Hope University rounded out the top 10 with an average of 7 partners.

Of course, just like you should only shit in safe places, be safe when sexing as well (that's our dad lecture over).
