According to The Daily Mail, two Tower Hamlets enforcement officers challenged the sun worshipper before two policemen later arrived on the scene.
Apparently the officers had received complaints from the public about the man.

Talking to The Daily Mail, Craig Jameson had this to say on the situation: "People were taking it in good spirits and laughing. Some people lay down next to him and others were taking pictures."
"Soon we saw some police community support officers try to move him but he refused to move, asking what harm he was doing."
Misunderstood sun worshiping hero Gerald Muir has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in Brick Lane on Sunday.

He has been bailed to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on June 20.
