US fast food giant ‘better than KFC’ has issued exciting statement on when stores may come to UK

The American fast food chain - founded in 1996 in Louisiana - has an exciting update for the UK

An American fast food giant, which some believe to be 'better than KFC', has made an exciting announcement to fried chicken lovers in the UK.

It is really hard to beat the crunch of a beautifully crispy exterior filled with some succulent chicken, ready to dunk in a heavy dipping sauce.

And although KFC have arguably done it better than most since arriving in Britain in 1965, there's a very popular Louisiana chain that could top it, according to some users on X.

Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a US fast food chain which was founded relatively recently in Baton Rouge in 1996.

They currently have over 800 locations across America, and are slowly venturing out across the pond.

They famously serve chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, with Cane's sauce.

But when it comes to the UK, it seems Cane's has recently had to call out a number of 'fake' locations that are popping up on TikTok.

In one video, it was rumoured that a branch was set to open Stratford, however, this is false news.

"As we expand across the world, we’re continually looking at global destinations and popular cities in which to open Raising Cane’s," they said.

"We love the energy and excitement Raising Cane’s has garnered across the UK and hope to bring our brand to the region within the next few years.

"Any TikTok videos announcing Raising Cane’s coming to the UK or mentioning specific opening dates and locations are fake and not from our verified Cane’s account, @raisingcane."

Similarly, there have been TikTok accounts claiming that In-N-Out Burger - another popular US chain - are making their way to our shores.

But the food chain clarified in a statement: "We are not affiliated with the TikTok account, which features our logo and the inaccurate message of opening a location or hosting a pop-up event in Camden, UK.

"It was likely created as a prank or to attract online attention."

Dave's Hot Chicken opened in December

This comes after Dave's Hot Chicken - which has been backed by the likes of Drake and Samuel L. Jackson - opened its first UK location in Soho in December.

It was childhood friends Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan and Tommy Rubenya who first started the venture in East Hollywood in 2017.

Their menu largely consists of chicken tenders and sliders, with a whopping six spice levels to choose from.

Chick-Fil-A set to open this year

Also Chick-Fil-A has revealed that its first UK restaurants are set to open early this year.

The Chief International Officer at Chick-fil-A, Anita Costello, said: "Serving communities is at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to bringing Chick-fil-A's delicious food and signature hospitality to Belfast, Leeds, Liverpool and London, and continuing our long-term investment in the UK.

"From job creation to supporting local causes, we are excited about the positive impact our first restaurants will have in the communities they serve," she added.
