Greggs lovers are only just discovering the handy trick to get doughnuts for just 25p.

Now, we're all partial to a cheeky Greggs sausage roll, a good old pasty and some sweet treats that go down a storm with a brew every now and then but what we're probably all even more partial to is a heavily discounted price-tag attached to the bakery's most popular items.

Brits all over are going bonkers over the news of the bargain confectionary and couldn't believe they could nab their favourites from the menu for just a few pennies.

I'm sure we've all become accustomed to seeing a standard Greggs stalwart on the corner of pretty much every high street no matter where you are in the UK.

There are more than two thousand Greggs branches up and down the country - some are even open 24-hours with others having drive-thrus - but some particular savvy shoppers have clocked on to exact locations where the real treasure is held.

Taking to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK page on Facebook, one shopper revealed a nifty little nugget of wisdom to any fellow Greggs lovers out there.

Clearly stunned by the prices of their local, they wrote: "Finally stumbled upon my first Greggs outlet. This one is in St George in Bristol."

Yep you read that right - Greggs outlets are most definitely a thing and there's a full list of locations.

There are currently 28 outlet stores up and down the country - many of which located in the North of England and the Midlands.

Greggs officially website explains: "A Greggs Outlet is a shop where our unsold food is redistributed and sold at a lower price.

"Our Outlet shops help us to tackle food waste, while allowing people in disadvantaged areas to enjoy our food at a huge discount."

The Facebook user snapped a pic of some of the delights on offer including a 12 pack of doughnuts for just £2.90 making each item just a little over 24p each.

Not bad at all especially in this cost of living crisis...

Other deals included a buy one get one free offer on 60p yum yums as well as a box of four chocolate covered doughnuts for £1 - or 25p each.

The Facebook post has since clocked up dozens upon dozens of comments from people eager to share their reactions to the bargains.

One person penned: "Can you send me the address please!! I'm in BRISTOL so would love to pop this one a visit lol."

"We need to find one of them," wrote a second.

A third echoed: "Can we go here? Never mind the diet!"

Talking about the outlet stores, another Facebook user hit out: "Why are they mostly in Northern England & Scotland!!!"

A final Facebook user added: "Aww man I got well excited the thought Greggs had a sale on."
