A man has revealed his shocking weight transformation after spending an entire year eating nothing but meat and eggs.
Fad diets are nothing new, with everything from intermittent fasting and juice cleanses gaining popularity over recent years.
However one diet trend is ripping up the rulebook entirely and eschewing fruits and veggies for plates full of meat.
That's right folks, we're talking about the carnivore diet.

A dietary trend made popular by influencers and the infamous 'Liver King', the carnivore diet pretty much does what it says on the tin, which is spend your days eating nothing but animal products.
Which is the same diet that lions, sharks and your pet cat follow.
One person who was inspired to take up this diet was US man Patrick Ensley, who was desperate to shed weight after tipping the scales to 300 pounds (21.4 stone).

After deciding that he wanted to drastically overhaul his appearance, the HVAC technician from Milford, Nebraska, US began eating a 16-ounce steak, a pound of beef and six eggs each day, repeating the meals every day for a year.
So did it work?
Results of the carnivore diet after a year
Patrick documented his progress from the carnivore diet in a series of videos on YouTube, revealing that after 10 months he was able to lose 19 inches from his stomach and 12.5 inches from his hips, allowing the dad to drop several clothing sizes in trousers.
Explaining the benefits of choosing to follow such an extreme diet, Patrick revealed that his quality of life had rapidly increased since changing his diet.
"The difference between then and now is insane," he explained. "Now I come home, and I'm able to throw around my two-year-old son on the couch and swing him upside down and play trucks and trains and all the fun stuff he likes to do and still have energy left over for my family."

He also revealed that his sleep has improved, meaning he know wakes up feeling refreshed rather than tired and now feels more mental clarity.
"I felt better mentally really quickly," he added.
"I've found my purpose in life again."
He also revealed the change also improved his moods drastically, saying: "It's really just changed a lot and now I've found my purpose in life again."
Patrick's wife Cait has since joined him in taking up the carnivore routine, with a recent video seeing her reveal the change has given her increased energy.
"Now I feel like I have energy to power myself throughout the day. I can get so much more done," she said. "That's been such a great shift."
Is the carnivore diet actually good for you?
It's definitely not something to attempt without first consulting a nutritionist for advice.
According to nutritional guidelines set out by the NHS, healthy and balanced adult diet should consist of at least five portions of fruit and vegetables, high fibre foods such as potatoes, rice or bread, dairy (or dairy alternatives), a source of protein and unsaturated oils.
Meanwhile red or processed meat should not exceed 70g of either per day.
"I would recommend concentrating on diversity and variety," Reema Pillai, private nutritionist at Dietitian Fit, previously told LADbible.
"There are numerous health benefits linked to the regular consumption of fibre including regular bowel health, reduced risk of type 2 diabetes, improved cardiovascular health and reduced risk of some types of cancers.
"Therefore, removing fibre from the diet is dangerous and will increase the risk of a multitude of health conditions, including heart and liver disease."
