Carnival Cruises rolls out new dining experience that could transport your entire evening onboard

If you've travelled on a cruise ship, you'll know that having a variety of different food options is crucial.

Now, one of the leading cruise lines, Carnival Cruises, has rolled out a brand new dining experience, set to be fully implemented across all ships by the end of May.

Carnival already has a wide range of food options, including VIP dining experiences as well as various different world cuisines.

However, the latest onboard offering, Express Dining, gives guests a more convenient dining option, allowing passengers to enjoy a freshly prepared dinner in under an hour for six or fewer guests.

“Our guests continue to tell us they value greater flexibility in how they spend their time on board, and Express Dining was designed with that in mind,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

“Our pilot program generated positive feedback from our guests. With this in mind, we are excited to expand Express Dining to offer them the same high quality dishes and attentive service our dining rooms are known for, while giving guests the ability to use more of their time to enjoy all the other onboard fun.”

Already available on 15 ships and set to roll out fully by the end of May, the new dining experience gives passengers the chance to opt for a longer, leisurely dinner experience, or a quicker service option.

The new option offers a speedier service (Carnival Cruises)

The new initiative is part of the ship's focus on offering more flexible dining options and so far it seems to be going down well with those who want a speedier service.

One person wrote on Facebook: "Loved it! We did it on elegant night and best service and meal we ever had!"

While another said: "Dinners are too long most of the time for us and you do risk missing a lot of the nightly entertainment."

And a third added: "I used this option when I was on the Carnival Sunrise in November, it was great! The food and service was as good as you could expect, and it was nice to be able to plan the rest of your night instead of waiting around for your entree or dessert like the normal dining experience."
