Influencer who was ‘stopped from boarding flight' over outfit now banned from local gym
Things have gone from bad to worse for the fitness influencer who was told she couldn’t board a flight due to what she was wearing.
Edda Elisa’s travel plans almost went kaput a few weeks ago after an airline worker allegedly told her that she looked ‘naked’ while wearing a gym set - and according to reports, she’s been given the boot by her gym now too.
Although the 25-year-old eventually made it onto the plane, the health and fitness club has voided her membership and don’t seem willing to let her walk back through their doors.
Elisa, who boasts hundreds of thousands of followers across her social media pages, has reportedly been banned from John Reed Fitness due to quite the bizarre reason.

The gym chain, which boasts numerous sites across Europe, claims that the influencer ignored repeated warnings from staff about ‘violating house rules’ - and her mirror selfies were apparently the straw that broke the camel's back.
Elisa took to Instagram to tell her 551,000 followers that her gym membership had been rescinded ‘without notice’, while claiming that this was all because ‘another woman was jealous’ of her.
She alleged that she only realised that she had been banned from John Reed Fitness after rocking up to her local branch for a workout and being unable to enter due to her access card being blocked.
The Berlin-based content creator claimed that she then subsequently received a letter stating that she was forbidden from using any of the fitness firm’s facilities around the world - except in Switzerland.
Elisa claimed that fellow gymgoers were ‘provoked’ by her taking selfies repeatedly in mirrors that are dotted around, despite her supposedly seeking permission to film her workouts and to take pictures.
"I find this very strange, because the official John Reed account even reposts mirror photos of other members,” she said in a TikTok video.
Elisa told German media outlet RTL that she always made the effort to be considerate of other people who might possibly be in the background of her selfies and insisted she would delete recordings if they unintentionally featured people in the background who didn’t want to be in the footage.
But John Reed Fitness has rubbished her claims and instead alleged that she was cautioned about her gym conduct several times before her membership was cancelled.
In a statement shared with RTE, a spokesperson said: “We can confirm that Edda Pilz has been dismissed without notice. She repeatedly violated our house rules and had previously received a warning."
John Reed Fitness did not detail how Elisa allegedly broke the rules, although she did confess to RTE that she had previously received a ‘written warning’ about wearing only socks while walking to a Pilates class with a pal along the hallways.
However, she said that she was unaware that this was against the gym’s code of conduct. LADbible has contacted John Reed Fitness for further comment.
The influencer - who has featured on a number of German reality TV shows such as Ex On The Beach and Sommerhaus der Stars - previously sparked controversy online over her clothing choices while boarding a Lufthansa flight at the end of June.
While travelling in sweltering heat, Elisa donned a sporty get-up - and she alleged that after trying to scan her boarding pass, an airline worker told her: “You cannot board. You have nothing on. You are naked.”
She ended up chucking a hoodie on and was then allowed to take her seat on the plane.
Lufthansa previously told LADbible that it reviews all incidents involving passengers who have possibly had an irregular interaction with staff, dealing with the matters internally.
"Lufthansa takes indications of potential irregularities in the way passengers are handled very seriously and reviews such incidents internally," a spokesperson for the airline said.
However, Lufthansa insisted that employees can act with 'due discretion' when ensuring passengers adhere to their rules on an aircraft.
The spokesperson continued: "As a general principle, Lufthansa expects all passengers to wear clothing appropriate to the nature of public travel and not to impair the well-being of fellow passengers from a wide range of countries.
"This expectation forms part of our General Conditions of Carriage. Our employees act on this basis with due discretion and within the scope of their judgment."
Airlines worldwide reserve the right to deny the wearing of 'offensive or 'inappropriate' attire on their flights.
