Couple go on holiday days after matching on Hinge and already plan to move in together
Having come out of a six-year relationship in January, Saffron Vieira took the plunge on Hinge when she swiped right on Ross Norminton on 16 June.
The 22-year-old was hopeful she’d find a perfect match and before spotting the 27-year-old business owner, hadn’t gone on any dates.
But she pretty much went from 0 to 100 as Saffron and Ross decided to go on a holiday together for their first date.
"He messaged me saying 'think you might be more tanned than me' and I said 'there might be a slight possibility',” the carer and nursery worker explains.

"Then he said 'well we best get on a flight so I have a chance' and I put 'spontaneous trip?' and he put 'I'd leave today'.”
The pair chatted throughout the day and by the evening, had booked a Greek holiday.
So, within days of matching on Hinge, the pair met for the first time on the way to London Gatwick Airport on 20 June.
“We were speaking every day until the trip. I'm quite spontaneous so this isn't really past me,” Saffron says.
"He came to my house with flowers, a Jellycat and my favourite drink. He said hello to my family just to make sure I wasn't getting kidnapped.
"My mum at first did think it was slightly insane but they've all since given the approval."
Ross says that no part of him though that ‘this could go wrong’ and the originally week-long holiday was soon extended so they could visit another island.
"I wasn't exactly sure she would accept it to be honest, and when she did I thought okay let's go,” he adds.
And it doesn’t stop there, having not even known each other for a month still, the pair have already booked themselves another trip in January next year to Thailand.
Plus, when they get back home, they’re considering moving in together.
“It wasn't weird at all. It feels like we already know each other,” Saffron says.
"We've been having a great time, we don't actually want to go home.”
And Ross says he can ‘definitely see it working back home’ as he plans to get her a key cut for his house.
"I think we're both on the same page. We're not actually rushing it, we're both just open to it,” he adds.
"We're very similar in a lot of ways. I don't feel like I've just met her."
In response, Saffron asks: "I'm open-minded [about moving in] to be fair. I just think 'has he got room for my wardrobe?'"
