An increasing number of Brits are seeking pastures new, with young people seemingly destined for either Dubai or Australia.
Naturally, moving to a different country full-time can be extremely daunting as you adapt to new cultures and ways of living, with Brits thankfully being spared from learning a new language when they decide to head Down Under.
Despite the similar way of speaking, there are lots of things that are very different in Oz, with one expert naming seven things you need to know before moving there.
If the big creepy crawlies weren't already enough to put you off, then there are plenty of Brits who have been honest about the 'big mistakes' they made living in Australia.

Although Manchester couple Rosie Daniels and Harry Wilde have lived in Australia for over a year now, it seems as if they're still adjusting to doing things upside down, with some things perhaps never likely to come naturally to them.

Rosie, who boasts over 5 million followers on TikTok with their couple account, said: "The coffee shops - they close so early. You get to 2pm and everything is shut.
"Back in the UK, you could grab a coffee at night without even thinking twice. But here, once the morning is over, you have missed your chance.
"I guess that's why everybody gets up so so early here. The mornings are genuinely a different world. You'll think you're up early and then you'll realise that everyone has already been for a swim, done a workout and grabbed breakfast."

The two were also shocked to see so many people walking around public places barefoot, which perhaps is the norm when it's sunny and there are always beaches nearby.
But if you try that in the UK, you'll probably contract some sort of infection and step in several discarded Greggs wrappers.
Rosie added: "We're kind of used to seeing it now but I still remember the first time seeing it. It just felt really strange coming from the UK where you'd never ever dream of doing that."
"I guess shoes don't really seem to matter here. People just go barefoot quite literally everywhere."

Perhaps the most heartbreaking thing, as a northerner at least, is that they've not been able to find Yorkshire puddings once in their time in Australia, which frankly would be enough to see me book a flight back home.

Something that would certainly throw me off is adjusting to the different seasons, as the idea of sunbathing in winter in the UK is a baffling one.
Rosie said: "I actually don't think I'll ever get used to saying that winter looks like this. You can go for a swim, you can sunbathe - that is completely different in the UK."
Finally, she also jokes that everyone in Australia drive a 4x4 car, rather than a tiny Fiat 500.
