Europeans are being urged to go to cheap Netherlands theme park which is ‘way more fun’ than Disneyland.

The top tip came about after one dad was left beyond horrified after sharing the eye-watering cost of a family trip to Disneyland.

The man, Mario Zelaya, took to TikTok to share his experiences with the pricey holiday and just how much of a fortune he forked out. Have a look:

The video, which has since clocked up over 456.2k views, has since sparked a heated discussion about Disneyland's pricing and whether or not it's actually worth the hype.

He said: "I made a huge mistake, I went to Disneyland in Paris. I'm almost embarrassed at how much money I spent.

"Just the tickets alone, that's $1,200. Why the hell would I do that?"

The dad went on to explain to his followers that the cost of each ticket was $1200 but, because he and his family upgraded to premier passes at the park, it ended up being an extra $173 per person.

The premier passes allow Disneyland guests to skip the line and join the fast lane instead of queuing up for each ride.

He went on: "It's crazy how overflowing Disney is. It doesn't matter if it's in Paris, Orlando, or California, it's like this all the time," he said while showing a video of the line for a 'crappy ride' with certain wait times lasting up to 'an hour and 15 minutes'.

"Here’s the Disney rules," Mario captioned the TikTok.

A different theme park to Disneyland was suggested by one TikTok user.

The first rule was to 'expect crazy long wait times' with the second being: "If you don't want to wait in line, expect a huge bill to upgrade to a Premier Pass."

The final rule outlined: "If you decide to wait in line instead because the Premier pass doesn't cover ALL the rides, expect a huge bill regardless."

Many were left outraged by the steep pricing, with a few admitting they 'never understood the hype' of the world-famous theme park.

Others, however, advised the dad and fellow parents to opt for an entirely different theme park.

The top comment for the TikTok video claimed: "If you’re going to Europe consider going to the Efteling in the Netherlands."

While the TikToker user admitted it was 'not as big as Disney' they promised 'you’ll be having way more fun'.

Many others rushed in to vouch for the suggestion with one writing: "I wanted to say this, wayyyy better price quality."

"I've been to Efteling this summer," penned a second. "Can really recommend!"

A third added: "Thanks a lot will be visiting soon!"

A final TikTok user noted: "Yeah and you’re spending 50 bucks instead of 1500..."

Now, you can't argue with that price difference - can you?

According to Efteling's official website, the 'World of Wonders' boasts 'attractions for all ages' with the opportunity to 'experience spectacular park shows and entertainment' in the 'largest theme park of the Netherlands'.

And the best part?

It's free entry for children up to three-years-old.

Guess that's the holiday plans sorted then.
