Man who visited all 197 countries in world shared scariest place he ever visited

The YouTuber has certainly seen it all

A man who visited all 197 countries in the world shared the place which he reckons was the scariest to visit.

Drew Binsky is a man who has certainly had his eyes opened to some bizarre, unique and insane stuff, having spent the best part of a decade travelling the globe.

He’s been to a number of countries where he’s felt ‘unsafe’, as well as destinations that he’s loved and praised for having ‘everything you could want’.

And all of these epic travels have made him quite a name in that category for YouTube content, as viewers lock in to see his takes on different parts of the world – including parts of the world most of us will never, ever go to.

To be fair, you might add this place to that list yourself after hearing Binsky’s take.

The YouTuber’s trip to the capital of Chad, N’Djamena, left quite an impression on him as he reckons it’s the 'scariest country he has visited, hands down'. And that’s certainly saying something considering his other tales.

Binsky spent time in the city back in 2018, and it seems he’s still not quite over it after all these years.

Speaking to UNILAD, he explained: "Never in my life have I been more scared, threatened, or attacked (both verbally and physically) than I was in that hot, dusty, and beaten-down, deserted city.

"I was involved in a disastrous police chase on a motorbike and was attacked by over a dozen people for trying to take a photo.

"If it wasn't for my 6ft 6ins local friend, then I'm not sure I would have made it out of that country alive - no joke!"

In a video shared in April 2022, he revealed he left the Central Africa destination early because he 'had that bad of a time'.

He explained how after meeting his pal, who was acting as his chaperone in N'Djamena, they each hopped onto separate motorcycle taxis.

"We got lost from each other," he said. "My phone wasn't working. And, the motorcycle taxi that I jumped on happened to be a stolen bike, so I was caught in this big police chase.

"I was cutting through the dirt roads of the city. I got off the bike and there was a huge fight that broke out on the street, and people were grabbing my shirt, like wanting to kill me."

After a crazy day later on, he was trying to keep ‘calm’ and visited a shisha bar with his bodyguard to unwind.

"I walked outside to take a phone call and I stepped in a huge pile of poop," he sighed. "Like, human poop - not cow poop, like human faeces.

"I actually ended up booking my flight out early, because I had that bad of a time. And not to mention like everywhere you go in Chad, people kind of stare at you.

"As a traveller, it's a very, very, very difficult place to visit - not much to do and it's a place that is a little bit rough around the edges."

But despite all that, Binsky says he would 'definitely give Chad another chance'.

Although he reckons the capital was 'really rough', he wants to head to the north of the country in the future and hopefully have a less tumultuous time.

Chad has been dealing with political unrest for many years and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) 'advises against all travel to parts of Chad’.
