A lad has planned to walk to Ibiza after not being to afford a flight to the holiday hotspot.

21-year-old Henry Moores is determined to visit the party island, and has set out a trek through France and Spain to get there.

Henry, a plasterer by day, is an avid walker who has previously raised £20,000 for charity by walking 500 miles to Paris in October and November 2023.

Documenting that journey on his TikTok account, he hopes to raise even more this time around.

In an attempt to kickstart the adventure, Henry messaged O Beach Ibiza owner Wayne Lineker on Instagram, promising that if he got a reply, he would pack his bags and begin his journey.

The club tycoon surprisingly responded, with Lineker posting a video of the two at his London home on 11 February, showing his support for Henry while promising to meet him at his final destination.

Originally from Macclesfield, Henry explained that he's beginning the gruelling 1,200 mile challenge on 2 March, simply because 'he's never been to Ibiza and can't afford a flight'.

Henry claimed that a number of his friends and family have already booked holidays to meet him in Ibiza, piling the pressure on him to finish within the set timeframe of two months.

"Probably more than 15 friends and family have said 'yeah, I'm coming' and a few have said they have already booked it," he revealed.

The lad went on: "I thought I could walk to Ibiza and get a holiday out of it while raising money for charity and meeting Wayne Lineker."

Henry said that getting in touch with Lineker and going to his apartment was 'unbelievable', crediting him for putting him in this position.

Despite the journey, which will average out to a marathon per day for 60 days, he is sure that he will be ready to party when he gets to Ibiza.

Henry said: "I will definitely have enough energy when I get there because everything goes out the window when you finish something like that.

"All the fatigue and everything gets behind you, for at least one night I can put it all behind me."

New pal Wayne Lineker has promised to meet Henry at his final destination.

He also claimed that he has been promised a free shot by Lineker, but other details of the trip haven't been discussed yet.

"I don't want to say or expect too much but I would like a free cocktail," the 21-year-old added.

That's a fair ask, I think.

"I knew if I did something like this I would be going to Ibiza," Henry concluded.

If all goes to plan, Henry will arrive on the Spanish island the day before the Opening Party of O Beach on 3 May, revealing that Lineker has planned to invite some celebrity pals.

Details on how to donate to his charities, which are yet to be chosen, will be found on his TikTok account here.
