Brits can fly to sunny hotspot this winter for less than a tenner

Ryanair is offering winter getaways for as little as £9.99

With temperatures getting colder day by day and snow starting to hit the UK in places, it's hard not to daydream about a sunny escape.

Now, thanks to Ryanair's 'Cyber Week' flash sale, you can jet off on a winter getaway for less than the price of a Five Guys burger.

The budget airline is currently offering 20 percent off flights to a selection of popular destinations taken between 1 December and 29 February.

Flights from Liverpool to Barcelona cost as little as £19.99 while a quick trip across the Irish Sea to Dublin will set you back the oddly specific but very reasonable price of £15.43.

But, the best deal of the airline's Black Friday offers could see you flying to a sunny hotspot in the north of Spain for less than a tenner.

One of the airline's best deals could see you jetting off to the Spanish beach resort tipped to be one of 2024's hottest.

Santender is a port city in the country's autonomous community of Cantabria.

Flights to the Spanish city start at just £9.99 per way depending on the day you travel and, with temperatures averaging at 13 degrees Celcius across the winter months, it could provide the perfect respite to frostbite.

And, Seve Ballesteros–Santander Airport is just a 21-minute drive from the Spanish resort set to be huge in 2024.

Somo is said to be one of northern Spain's 'best-kept secrets'. The beach resort is frequented mostly by locals and is the perfect spot to relax away from the hordes of holidaymakers.

One of the main reasons people visit Somo is for its beach, which has been described by holidaymakers as 'gorgeous.'

It also offers a range of watersports, including surfing, windsurfing and kayaking and is home to several Michelin-starred restaurants like El Serbal, Cenador de Amós, and Agua Salada, as well as plenty of others that won't break the bank.

The city isn't expensive to stay in either, with hotel rooms available from £40 per person per night.

Visitors to the resort clearly can't enough, singing its praises on Tripadvisor. One review reads: "The beach is gorgeous with nice, fine, sand. It stretches for miles, so it wasn’t crowded."

Another holidaymaker added: "A beautiful beach on the other side of Santander's Bay, while a third wrote, "It has stunning views of Santander, and it's perfect for a walk, swim, or surf."

Tempted? We definitely are. But you better be quick as you only have until the end of the day (1 December) to swipe up the deal.
