In spite of the hilarity that Ryan Reynolds seems to effortlessly exude, like the rest of us, he's not susceptible to the feared dog house.
His other half, Blake Lively, couldn't care less if he's Deadpool, a king of Twitter or Green Lantern. If he messes up, he's on the couch, maybe even the dog's kennel if his sins are bad enough.
The dog house is exactly where the star is currently residing, but it's not because he came home late one night, pissed as a fart, spilling garlic mayo from his kebab on the leather sofas. Nor has he somehow managed to shrink Blake's favourite bra on a spin cycle specifically made for 100 percent cotton.

Instead, Ryan's crime was to inadvertently tell the world the gender of their new baby, despite agreeing to keep it a secret. It could be worse, though, Ry. Have you ever actually tried to get a garlic mayo stain out of a cushion while you're off your barnet on Stella and your head is still effectively in the pub? It's hard, mate.
The father-of-two let it slip on the Conan TV show that his second born was a girl, saying: "Yeah, a lot of oestrogen. It's like an American Girl doll took a shit on my life." He then admitted he only appeared on the show to get out of the house.
Realising the error of his ways after the show had aired, he did what we all do when we piss off our other half - bought food. Unhealthy, greasy, delicious, comfort food.
It looks as if he's managed to worm his way out of the dog house for now, but what will follow is a few days under the thumb. If he refuses to go shopping, watch Blake get her haircut, change all the nappies or go to a drive-thru at 1am, he'll be greeted by the all too familiar head tilt and: "Remember when you went on Conan...?" He'll be ready to do whatever she wants like a flash.
