My favourite McFlurry has got to be the Oreo one. Or the Smarties one. Basically, anything that adds more chocolate is a big win with me.
And I like to think of myself as an adventurous person when it comes to food, but I'm not sure about a Big Mac Sauce McFlurry. Especially when it's covered in sprinkles of gherkin, but why not?
I love pickles and I love ice cream, so why not try and put them together.

Just to recap, in case you aren't a Maccy D's regular, that's a sauce for the famous burger with a recipe that has been kept secret for years by McDonald's, and soft scoop ice cream...and gherkins. It's pretty much a burger in ice cream form.
Customers will be treated to a limited edition Big Mac Sauce McFlurry, with soft dairy ice cream, swirls of the iconic Big Mac Sauce and finished off with gherkin. Mmmm yummy?! The perfect way to celebrate spring.

Apparently, research by McDonald's showed the unusual flavour was a surprise hit with the company's tasting panel, with some tasters even requesting the flavour become a permanent menu feature. Maybe it's like Marmite. I can't understand why people like those things and I'm Scottish and regularly eat haggis.
Can you imagine going into an ice cream tasting session and being hit with gherkin ice cream?! Talk about a disappointment.

Head of Flavour for McFlurry, Des Sert said: "We're incredibly excited to introduce this new McFlurry. We've listened to our customers' feedback and know how much they love our Big Mac Sauce and different flavoured McFlurries. We've therefore combined the two to create a savoury and sweet treat which is bound to get people talking."
I think maybe that tasting panel were a bit drunk.
I need to try some. The special McFlurry is going to be in McDonald's for one month only, so you better hop to it and get some. When Maccy D's sold 4,000 bottles of Special Sauce, they turned up on Ebay and someone actually spent £18,000 on a bottle, so this new McFlurry is bound to be just a popular, even if it is April Fools'.
