Nando's Has Finally Given Us The Gift Of Its First Ever Christmas Menu

Food is great. In fact, I'd say it's the best thing about life. What's better than your bog-standard, run-of-the-mill food, though? CHRISTMAS FOOD.

Pigs in blankets, mate?! Are you messing?! Why are those bad boys not available on every corner shop 24/7/365. I don't want cocktail sausages, I want sausages wrapped in delicious bacon as my mid-afternoon snack.

However, one thing I can't abide is cranberry sauce. Why do supermarkets insist on smothering every decent looking sandwich in gloopy, red smush?

Anyway, I digress. Let's talk about why you're really reading this - Nando's. The chicken aficionado has stepped up its menu - Christmas-style.

First up, the PERi-Berry burger.

Nando's said it will be: "served in a Portuguese roll on a bed of baby spinach, the PERi-Berry Burger is topped off with a PERi-Berry Chutney featuring cranberries, raspberries and blueberries, infused with PERi-PERi Chillies - adding warmth and heat and a touch of sparkle to occasion."

FFS. Cranberries.

For those of you who fancy a normal chicken burger and something a little different on the side - PERi-Orange wings.

As you can probably guess, these are chicken wings with a bit of orange. Nando's said: "A sticky treat with a touch of sweetness, the wings are topped off with a delicious tangy-taste-sensation PERi-Orange glaze.

"Combined with Nando's signature PERi-PERi, and available in a choice of heat levels, PERi-Orange wings are available in plates of three, five or 10 wings."

Hmm. I feel a little disappointed. Could it have not been figured out to have some way for pigs in blankets to feature? I know they're not exactly chicken, but what about bacon wrapped chicken wings with stuffing? Or for that matter, a chicken stuffing burger? What's going on?

I suppose orange is pretty Christmassy. I tend to devour at least one Terry's chocolate orange per day over the Christmas period.
