Tabasco Made A Sauce 20 Times Hotter Than Its Original

Tabasco is pretty much one of the original players in the hot sauce game, isn't it? The classic Original Red sauce is a fixture in most kitchen cupboards and has been improving our pizzas, soups and Bloody Marys for years.

But for some it's a little tame. For some, every meal should be a Man Vs Food type challenge, with milk chugging, burning lips and running noses.

So, Tabasco has introduced created a new sauce, Tabasco Scorpion Sauce, which it claims is 50,000 Scoville units to cater for the demanding palates of those who enjoy their hot sauce fucking hot.

According to its site, the Original Red sauce is around 2,500 - 5,000 on the Scoville scale, so that gives you a bit of an idea about how mouth-burningly hot this stuff is.

Up to TWENTY TIMES HOTTER. Are your eyes watering just thinking about it? Just me?

The sauce, which was made available for sale online in the US, sold out within a few hours.

Such is the demand for burning your own mouth off, someone managed to flog a couple of the coveted bottles on eBay for £115 ($150).

The sauce was marketed as a 'small batch' and there's no announcement on when/if more will be made or if it will ever come to the UK. I think we should start a petition.
