More revelations.

Harrowing footage has emerged of Jimmy Savile touching a young girl in a Louis Theroux documentary.

16 years ago, Theroux ran a programme with Savile entitled 'When Louis Met Jimmy'.

Theroux has since done a follow up on Savile, which comes to screens tomorrow. Included in this is one particularly disturbing scene where he is touching a young girl at a pizza restaurant in Leeds.

In the 2016 documentary, airing tomorrow, Theroux says:

"I wanted to make sense of my own failure to see him for what he was, to see what clues there were in hindsight. I wanted to understand how he'd got away with his crimes for so long."

Since the initial documentary, Savile confessed to Theroux a year later that he had slept with a 15-year-old girl in the past, which Theroux reported, but was never followed up.

In the new film, Theroux talks to the victims of Savile's heinous crimes, asking what effect the abuse has had on their lives, report the Daily Mail.

Another focus of the feature will tackle how the press, the public at large, and, as aforementioned, Theroux himself, were unaware of Savile's debauchery.

In a piece on the BBC website, Theroux wrote about how he wanted to look at the darker side of Savile in 2000, but that he was unable to expose him as a paedophile.

"At the time, I'd done my best to be tough with him. I knew he was weird and, with all his mannerisms, rather irritating - I had no interest in making a soft piece about Jimmy the charity fundraiser.

"The dark rumours - of sexual deviance, of being unemotional, of having a morbid interest in corpses - were one of the reasons I'd taken him on as a subject.

"I wanted to get the goods on Savile. The trouble was, I had no clear sense of what those goods were."

Savile crimes are staggering - almost as inconceivable as the fact that he was never brought to justice when living.

'Louis Theroux - Savile' will air at 9pm on BBC 2 on Sunday, October 2.
