Aside from being excellent at copying speeches, Melania Trump is also good at putting her foot down when she feels like she needs to. The latest news is that she and her son, Barron, will not leave Trump Tower once her husband, Donald, becomes the president of the USA.
As a result of their decision, New York City may well be footing a steep bill for the president-elect while his missus and ten-year-old Barron continue living in the concrete jungle.
The new First Lady and Barron will remain in the Manhattan apartment at least until her youngest child finishes this year of education.

However, Trump's entire family will be protected not only by the secret service, but also New York's Police Department (NYPD), which is reported to cost millions yet is completely necessary if the family choose to stay in the Big Apple.
John Miller, NYPD's deputy commissioner of intelligence & counter terrorism, told WCBS that police have been assigned to Trump's adult children and grandchildren in addition to Secret Service.

Presidents are required to have local police protecting them when they return to their homes but this is a huge task because Trump lives in the most densely populated neighbourhood in the biggest city in the U.S.
The cost of police protecting the First Family could cost $1million a day, reports the Daily Mail.
Okay, so that's $7million a week, $365million a year (assuming they are expected to work Christmas day). That's got to be the world's most expensive babysitting service, which let's face it is all the NYPD is going to be used for.
