McDonald's can be testing at the best of times. At the worst of times - especially now with the self-service tickets - the fast-food chain can turn every punter into some sociopathic, aggressive, stock market trader.

What about queuing, though? Is queuing more easy and effective than waving a receipt over a throng of rugby players just for a Big Mac? Not going by this story of a drunk mum who broke one woman's elbow and socked another woman round the head after a queue-jumping fiasco in a McDonald's recently.

23-year-old Emily Gibbs, a beautician, has conceded she was 'guilty as sin' when police showed her CCTV footage of the 2am fist-fight.

So here's the rundown:

Gibbs' mate purportedly jumps the queue, is accused of such, and then becomes embroiled in a fight which injures two sisters.

Gibbs grabs a girl called Morgan Fenning - an innocent lass out on the town in Canterbury with her sister and her mates.

Morgan is attacked by another woman, not Gibbs. Her sister Madeleine weans the attacker off.

Gibbs grabs Madeleine's hair, pulls her back, punches her and then goes back to Morgan to kick her some more.

Then apparently everyone joins in. It's a fucking free for all in a Kent Maccies.

Save maybe for Morgan's fractured elbow, no-one was seriously hurt.

Gibbs told police after her arrest: "I'm as guilty as sin. Drinking just sends me into someone I don't even know who I am.

"One minute I was queuing for a burger and the next minute I'm having a scrap."

Judge Simon James sentenced Gibbs to nine months' imprisonment on Friday.

He said: "That night you were part of a group, one of whom wasn't willing to queue like everyone else.

"The incident happened in a crowded restaurant and seems to have sparked a wider disorder. "

This isn't what Ronald McDonald signed up for.
