I've never had any less sympathy for anyone than this idiot who missed his flight because of his iPhone case.
While walking through security at Stansted Airport, one man was stopped by police because his iPhone case was in the shape of a gun.
I'm actually speechless, to be perfectly honest.
I mean, in what world is it appropriate to carry anything in the shape of a gun through an airport?
These days you'd be lucky to see some kids playing cops and robbers with bananas in an airport waiting lounge, let alone a grown man with what appears to be the butt of a gun hanging out of the back of his jeans.
Anyway, Essex police in the UK didn't apologise for making the man miss his flight and simply tweeted this:

This is what was in the back pocket ... An #iPhone case. Someone decided to put themselves in such a situation today pic.twitter.com/Lu66Et1bdg

Bringing this to an airport makes it much less likely you'll catch your plane. #dontbedaft https://t.co/vuRhnW9YVk

And you know what? Fair play to them as well. I actually can't believe a real-life adult thought he'd get through security with that in his back pocket. It's staggering.
Apparently the man can now be charged with a public order defence or of carrying an imitation firearm in a public place.
Stupid is as stupid does, I guess.
