Pablo Escobar's Son Reckons He Knows How His Dad Actually Died

It seems that Pablo Escobar will always be interesting to the masses.

The interest in the infamous drug lord is currently at an all-time high, thanks to the fact that Narcos can be binge-watched right up until 6am when you're knee deep in your own shit and piss because you've refused to get up from the sofa to go to the toilet.

Escobar was allegedly shot dead by a police in Medellin, Colombia, on December 2, 1993, when a phone call was traced to his hideout.

There are many theories over who shot the fatal bullet that killed the drug lord, but Escobar's son, Juan Pablo Escobar, is sure he knows.

Juan, who hasn't emulated his father's moustache that wouldn't look out of place in a British snooker hall in the 1970s, or a wrestling ring in the 1980s, claims in his book that it wasn't a cop who shot his dad.

The autopsy of the 44-year-old revealed that he'd sustained three bullet wounds, one of which was to the right side of his head.

Juan, who now calls himself Sebastian Marroguin, wrote in his book, Pablo Escobar, My Father, that his dad told him on numerous occasions that he'd one day shoot himself.

To put further legitimacy to the claim, he also states that his father told him he'd shoot himself in the right ear - the place where one of the bullets entered his body.

The 39-year-old also wrote that his father told him he'd use a specific type of gun to shoot himself. After studying the autopsy photos and report, Juan believes that the exact gun his father spoke of is next to him on the autopsy table.

The English version of Pablo Escobar, My Father, was released in conjunction with the second season of Narcos, which aired on Netflix on August 28.
